You're so good with money and have taught me how important that is!
You took care of me me, Mumma, mamu, and yourself
You learned about a whole new field in retirement (nutrition)
You went white water rafting and weren't that scared!
You used to hike a ton, and even in your older years went on two cruises with me, a helicopter ride onto a glacier, and hiked up some mountains!
You worked your ass off when you did have a job
You survived many car crashes and back/neck issues!
You are extremely resilient in the face of so much adversity in your personal / professional life

You are kind
You are full of love

You have a lot of passion and energy
You are a devoted mom and daughter and sister

When you planned amazing birthdays and Christmases for me and made them so special and full of anticipation
When you took me to Disney World twice!
When you took me Vegas for lots of video games
When you instilled in me a love of learning
When you supported my crazy book-purchasing in high school
When you called me out for lying
When you told Mumma it wasn't acceptable to commit me to Islam on her own
When you resisted my begging for video games until my dental issues
When you forced me to play sports
When you took care of me during COVID-19 by preparing all my meals
When you sent me down my career path by encouraging me to become a summer organizer for the Obama campaign
When you continued to support that by paying for my meals and expenses when I lived in Chicago
When you unconditionally supported my passions in my career
When you chose where to live based on where the good schools were!
When you took me out of school because of backwards thinking teachers

To treat others the way you want to be treated
Honesty and integrity and reliability are important characteristics for life
The importance of finding a career I loved
To pursue the things I want without shame - like being in a relationship and having children
